Water-week 5
Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink!
Have you noticed that there has not been a lot of rain since we have been in our bubbles?
Over summer we had no rain for over 70 days.
Water is very important for life.
What things do we need water?
List everything that you can
think of like: showering, watering the garden, and washing the dishes.
Can you find out how much of the world is covered in water?

Mother's Day
MOTHER'S DAY
We all have a very special lady in our lives.
It might be your mum, nana, aunty, sister, grandma or cousin.
Think about who your special person is.
What makes them special?
What words could you use to describe them?
What do they do for you that makes them special?
A special poem
Could you think of something special that you could do for your special person?
What about making breakfast?
Make a card?

Road Safety
Riding your own vehicle
Many people have been out and about walking, cycling and skateboarding to get exercise while we are in our own bubbles.
This is really important as we all need to get some exercise and fresh air.
We do though need to take extra care.
Draw some things which you can move on that have wheels like roller blades and scooters.
Think about how many
wheels they have.
What safety gear should you wear when using these vehicles? What part of your body do you need to protect?
Words with a suffix which means a number.
uni means one
bi means two
tri means three
unicorn-one horn on the head
bicycle-two wheels
triangle-three sides and three corners
What other examples can you think of?

Road Safety
Make it click!!! Being safe in the car
When you travel in the car there are some rules that you must remember.
Can you see what these children are doing that is right?
Where in the car are they?
What are they putting on?
When do you do this?
Watch the video below, you may know the song that Ronald MacDonald sings.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZjJxOnJVGs
Younger children and babies have to use a different type of car seat.
Present and past tense
Here are the words that show the present time, can you write the past tense word?
For example sit -present sat-past
Present Past
drive
see
come
look
bring
do
get
hear
run
take

Road Safety Week, Week 4 of home learning
Road Safety Week
As we begin to move round a bit more, it is really important that we think about keeping ourselves safe.
We will be walking to school in the next few weeks.
What are the main points that we need to remember?
Answer these questions by drawing you walking to school on the footpath.
List the right actions you are doing.
1. Walking not running.
Think about the way you walk to school.
Draw a map that shows the route you take.
Think about which way you turn-left or right? Do you have to cross a road?
