It was a long process done in stages with a lot of observation and discussion but the result is worth it.
We are Year 3 and 4 learners at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, New Zealand and our teacher is Mrs Tidswell.

Pattern of People
Planned with jovi crayons each person was to be unique. They could overlap but each was to have a different hair style and clothes using texture and pattern done with crayon. Faces were added to different skin tones then a contrasting colour was painted on flat to form the background after each colour difference was defined with black pastel.

Kia ora Room 6, your paintings caught my eye as soon as I saw them. The different colours and the different hairstyles add lots to look at too. Thank you for explaining how you created your paintings. What is a jovi crayon?

Kia ora Mrs Grant ,thanks for your comment. It's a crayon you can use that is not very dark. You can't smear it.

There is a comment that explains what we did posted now under our pictures. We did a little each day while I tested children to see if they were in the right groups after the holidays to start their learning. If you have any questions after reading what we wrote I am only too happy to answer. Thank you for viewing us. We'll have more to share soon.
